Plant Fitter / Powered Access Fitter

Nicholas Associates Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing Recruitment Division is once again working with our expanding client who is looking to recruit a Plant Fitter / Powered Access Fitter who will be accountable for the service, repair and maintenance of powered access plant equipment.

Position: Plant Fitter / Powered Access Fitter / Powered Access Engineer / Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: circa £28,800plus benefits

Employer: A blue chip, national plant hire organisation

Overview: Service, repair and maintenance of all powered access equipment

Skills: Mix of mechanical, Powered access, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic

Workplace: Field and workshop based

Environment: Products include all aspects of tool hire from hand held to free standing lifting and materials handling equipment, modular buildings, power generation equipment, yellow goods (fork lift trucks, excavators, bobcats, telehandlers, cherry pickers, skidsteers), welding and fabrication equipment, hydraulic tools and jacks, pumps, industrial heating equipment, petrol and diesel engine access equipment.

Requirements: Apprentice trained is desirable
Formal qualification in a relevant engineering subject is preferred, ideally to NVQ 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or similar

Experience of the maintenance, service, repair, installation and commissioning of:
– Mobile plant
– Scissor lifts
– Telescopic booms
– Articulate booms
– Trailer mounted booms
– Track mounted booms
– Personal lifts
– Cranes
– Rail equipment
– Motors
– Engines
– Gearboxes
– Pneumatic or hydraulic systems
– Yellow goods

Full UK driving licence is essential. HGV driving licence beneficial
