PHP Developer

Salary: £330 – £360 per day

Skills: PHP with Symfony or Laravel, API Creation and RESTful services, AWS, GIT

Expanding FinTech requires an experienced contract PHP Developer to help as the company undertakes a major scale-up to build their product roadmap. The PHP developer will help bolster their existing development team, delivering a diverse set of application platforms for some exciting Financial Services customers. Numerous projects are on-going, many in their infancy. Technology used is a mixture of PHP, MySQL and Angular JS stack. The role will also encompass support, maintenance and improvements in systems availability, performance and functionality.

Key Duties:

* Working within a team environment, contribute to technical problem-solving discussions

* Troubleshooting and maintaining existing functionality

* Assisting with QA

Skills & Experience required:

* PHP with modern MVC frameworks such as Symfony/Laravel

* Experienced building highly distributed services, working with APIs and AWS services

* Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services

* Understanding of secure coding best practices and scalability

* Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design

* Write fully testable code with PHPUnit

* Experience of version control with GIT (BitBucket, GitLab) and an understanding of GIT workflows

* Knowledge of Docker

* Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS/Javascript

3 months initial term; 100% Remote.

NB: This is an inside IR35 contract role and you would therefore need to run via an umbrella agency.
