Our exclusive client are a world leader in the development and manufacturing of nanomaterials for use in applications such as LCD displays, lighting and photovoltaics. The company`s headquarters are in Manchester and they have a global reach and agreements in place with companies in America and Asia. Due to sustained progress with their unique products they are embarking on a period of significant growth.
They now have an urgent requirement for a Cleanroom Technician reporting to the Section Head to provide supporting the running of their photovoltaics laboratory and cleanroom.

The major responsibility of the role will be assisting in the fabrication and measurement of R&D devices including:

– Performing IV, EQE, and SEM measurements
– Deposition of metallic and semiconductor layers using vacuum and printing techniques
– Cleaning of substrates and glassware
– Maintain Calibration and Maintenance schedules on process and analytical equipment
– Maintain the cleanroom and lab space
– Manage consumable stock levels

The successful candidate will have a hands on approach and experience of working with process and scientific equipment and experience of working with hazardous chemical on a small scale. You should be educated to at least HND in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or a related technical subject.
