Personal Budget Officer

EXPERIENCED PERSONAL BUDGET OFFICER REQUIRED FOR AN IMMEDIATE START!

Requirements:
– Budget experience
– General finance background
– Local authority experience
– Immediate availability

Duties in this role will include:
To promote and safeguard the welfare of vulnerable adults.
To acquire, maintain and apply specialist knowledge relevant of the Personal Budget – direct payment scheme and its accompanying legislation and Council policy.
To provide a Personal Budget financial management support and a consultation service to adults safeguarding staff to ensure efficient use of resources.
To setup, maintain and update Personal Budget Service Agreements. Ensure the contents of the agreement are correct and entered onto the Care First system to generate automated 4-weekly payments. This also includes the calculation of how much the direct-payment should be.
To provide support and guidance to the service user or a third party to ensure the financial outcomes in the Service Agreements are met. This includes highlighting potential conflicts of interest and making referrals of safeguarding for those users who cannot manage their finances or are at risk.
To setup and maintain Personal Budget assessed contributions and ensure these are being deducted from ongoing payments.
