We are recruiting for a leading construction consultancy looking to add a Permit Co-Ordinator to their team!
Purpose of the Role-
As Street Works Coordinator you will be part of our Traffic Management & Compliance service based in Barnet (Colindale). Reporting to the Senior Street Works Coordinator, you will be coordinating street works and highways works across the network to ensure we achieve our statutory objectives and our promoters adhere to the appropriate legislative requirements. Working alongside the street works inspectors, you will be reporting on performance and compliance metrics in line with relevant legislation to aid the service to run in a smooth and efficient manner.
A Few Key Responsibilities of the Role-
You will provide administrative and technical support in the effective and efficient promotion and use of the computerised NRSWA/Permit system to ensure that the council fulfils its duties and obligations under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the London Permit Scheme (LoPs)
Encourage Utilities and other works promotors including the council to fulfil their obligations under NRSWA and to ensure minimum disruption to residents and road users.
Assess each permit application received from all sources and to take appropriate action in order to effectively and efficiently meet the Councils Network Management duties.
Make decisions to ensure that all the works carried out on the highway network by all works promoters including the Council are co-ordinated and monitored such that the works cause minimum disruption to residents and highway users.
To assist the Senior Permit Co-ordinator by providing information as requested to be included in progress and management reports relating to Street Works, the Permit scheme, NRSWA and related works on the highway network
Assist in the effective and efficient execution of co-ordination, through investigations and analysis in order to effectively assist with the planning of the works carried out by third parties and the Authority with a view to minimising the impact of the proposed works.
Assist the Senior Co-ordinator in ensuring that the needs of customers and users of the public highway network in Barnet are met where the Council is responsible, justified and appropriate action is taken to establish and understand these needs and feedback is given.
Essential Experience of the Role-
Working knowledge of NRSWA legislation compliance
Working knowledge of TMA 2004/Code of Practice/SROH
Working knowledge of Street Manager and other Eton based systems Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint
Experience in customer and stakeholder relationship management
Previous experience in the coordination of street works
Stakeholder management skills
Good Working knowledge of TMA 2004/Code of Practice/SROH
Good working knowledge of Street Manager and other Eton based systems Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint
NRSWA Supervisor would be desirable
Lantra NHSS 12D M7 would be desirable
