Permanent Dual Fuel Meter Installer

The Role:

Permanent Dual Fuel Meter Fitters required to fit domestic gas and electric metering systems into residential premises in the LL postal code area

This position is a straight to permanent position, so no requirement to work via an agency as a temporary worker or contractor.

You will be paid an annual salary from your first day.

Additional earnings available via call out and an attractive, bonus scheme.

Work will be in set geographical postal code regions with minimal travel to increase meter installation capacity.

The Candidate:

You will have to meet the following criteria, to be suitable for this position:

1) Gas and Electric Meter Installer (ACS required: CCN1 or CMA1 and MET1 or MET2) plus MOCOPA single phase authorisation.

2) Worked for a Metering Main or Sub-contractor or Utilities Company.

3) Be prepared to work outside of your local area if required (Neighbouring postal codes)

4) Work evenings, weekends and on-call via a Rota System if required (1 week in 4)

5) Be seeking a permanent career opportunity.

6) Be prepared to be vetted via a Criminal Record Check

7) Have a maximum of SIX penalty points on your driving license

8) Be prepared to drive a van that has a tracker fitted

9) Be prepared to take additional ongoing training in metering

10) Be prepared to attend a Health and Safety Induction, which may be outside of your local area and involve overnight stays (accommodation expenses covered).

11) Have previously worked on a metering contract or permanent metering position for a minimum of 6 months

12) Be prepared to comply with a Drugs and Alcohol Policy which may involve Random Drug and Alcohol Testing.

13) Be prepared to undertake a detailed trade test prior to commencing employment as a Dual Fuel Meter Installer

The All Important Benefits:

This is a permanent position

a) Basic annual salary is £26,750per annum

b) On Target Earnings over £30,000 per annum via a very attractive Bonus Scheme

Bonus Scheme Details

Points = £

You will be allocated 2 points for every completed installation and target is to achieve 10 points per working day (5 meter installation / completed jobs)

5 Meter Installations per day = £20.00 Bonus
6 Meter Installations per day = £40.00 Bonus
7 Meter Installations per day = £60.00 Bonus
8 Meter Installations per day = £80.00 Bonus
9 Meter Installations per day = £100.00 Bonus
10 Meter Installations per day = £120.00 Bonus

Additional Bonus

If over the course of a 4 week working month (20 working days) you achieve an average of 5 fits per day, you will receive an extra £5.00 per day in Bonus = £100.00

Earning Potential

Complete 6 Meter Installations / Jobs per day and you will earn £40.00 Bonus.

If you can maintain this level of performance every day your total annual salary would increase to £26,750

If you increased this to 7 Meter Installation / Jobs per day, then you annual earnings would increase to £35,792

* Figures based on 45 working weeks per annum, allowing 28 days annual leave and 4 weeks training.

Further increased earning potential will be available as the smart meter rollout progresses.

Retention Bonus

You will have the opportunity to earn an additional £5,000 in retention bonus for remaining in employment for 3 years.

d) Permanent means no requirement to work through a temporary agency or be paid via an umbrella payment company.

e) You will be supplied with a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE and Phone

i) You will have the opportunity to earn a referral bonus for any candidates you pass on to Runrec that gain employment via our recruitment services. £50 for you and the referred candidate.

J) You will have the opportunity to receive ongoing training as a Dual Fuel Meter installer.
