Key Responsibilities:

•Writing performant, structured Object Oriented Perl
•Working closely with designers and front-end developers to create new product features
•Writing tools and reusable components to support application development
•Maintaining and enhancing current code to keep it robust, clean and free from technical debt
•Learning new technologies and gaining experience in different areas of website and web applications development

Essential Skills:

•Excellent experience with object-oriented Perl with substantial experience of developing server-side web applications
•Fluent with a popular web development framework such as Dance, Catalyst or Mojolicious
•Strong understanding of well-known Perl modules such as Moose and DBI
•Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
•Experience of working in an agile environment
Candidates with experience of PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions such as Mongo DB would be highly desirable.
