Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 per year

My client is on a mission to create the world’s best specialist support setting. They pride on giving people with learning disabilities, autism and uniquely complex needs a fresh start in a lovely purpose-built home.

Purpose of the role

The people they support, and their colleagues are at the heart of everything they.

Your role will involve leading the formulation and implementation of a people strategy to support their vision and objectives. They operate busy home environments supporting individuals to live their lives to their maximum potential in a way that they want to. They employ around 250 people in a variety of roles, with this number expected to further grow in the next 18 months. They require an individual who has the initiative to establish a people function that is best in class that embeds their culture and values throughout the organization with each and every person within the team. This will be a varied and diverse role that will involve leading and guiding the establishment of a team, from hands on leading from the front through to creating a strategic vision for the future.

We are looking for:

* CIPD qualified and/or 5 years HR/People experience in line with this job specification

* An interest in changing the lives of people with autism, learning disabilities and uniquely complex needs

* The ability to create and develop a long term people strategy

* Up to date working knowledge in all stages of recruitment, selection and retention of colleagues

* Experience in employee relations, both supporting a positive culture through to disciplinary and grievance experience

* Staff management and communication skills

* Awareness of key areas of employment law, writing and implementing policies and procedures

* Knowledge of full training cycle including delivery of leadership, management and mentoring skills

* Experience of implementing policies and processes

* Effective communicator and influencer at all levels

* Comfortable developing and managing a team

* Responsive to change and promotes it to others
