Payroll Officer

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Payroll Officer – About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor you will work as part of a busy professional team to ensure all client payrolls are run by the required deadlines. Key duties and responsibilities will include: –

* Liaising with clients with regards to their payroll needs

* Collating information and processing client payrolls, using “Star” software

* Issuing pay by BACS transfers, and Autopay

* Setting up new starters and processing leavers

* Submitting information to HMRC in accordance with deadlines

* Uploading auto enrolment information to a variety of pension providers

* Creating and uploading payroll journals

* Dealing with client queries in a professional manner

* You will also liaise with HMRC, submit payments, and resolve PAYE and NI queries

The successful Payroll will have:

* At least 2 years dedicated Payroll Bureau or outsourcing experience

* Knowledge of issuing pay via BACS transfers, and Autopay

* Experience of setting up new starters and processing leavers

* Up to date HMRC guideline and processes

* Exposure to auto enrolment information
