Payroll Officer

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join a driven finance team in the Not for Profit and Charities sector in London. The successful candidate will excel in managing payroll systems and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Description

• Manage and maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and inputting data.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
• Onboarding people to pension
• Adhere to payroll operations systems and procedures.
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
• Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state taxes, insurance, employee pension contribution, etc.
• Support the Management accountants with month end tasks.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

• A strong understanding of payroll systems and procedures.
• Experience working in other parts of finance
• Sound knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.
• A background in Accounting & Finance.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and external contacts.
