PETA Ltd are proud to be working with The Unicity Medical Centre to recruit a caring and compassionate Patient Advisor/Administrator Apprentice. The Apprentice will be working as a team to provide reliable and quality service to meet the needs of patients.

Training to be provided:

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:

The Patient Advisor/Administrator will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Opening of the practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
  • Care Navigation – answer the telephone dealing with or signpost enquiries with all messages and queries being directed to the right person via the computer using tasks, notifications, or email
  • General administrative tasks
  • Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
  • Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers
  • Word/data processing, filing, photocopying, and scanning
  • Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required, loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions to ensure skills are kept up to date within a changing environment

About The Company

At the Uni-City Medical Centre we are here to help and support anyone. We are a training GP Surgery where the health and wellbeing of our patients is at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to provide a service that is accessible, friendly, evidence based and compassionate. Our admin and reception teams work hard to ensure the day to day running of the surgery goes smoothly.
Our medical team is made up of 4 permanent GPs, as well as 3 full time Physician Associates. Our GPs work alongside a highly trained nursing team that consists of 2 healthcare Assistants and 3 nurses.
