Matchtech are offering a new opportunity and we require an Infosec Engineer who has commercial experience of Patch Management.
This is a hybrid role working in the public sector and you’ll be required to be on-site 1 or 2 days per week at We-Work offices near to Angel station.
If you have a thirst and a passion for detecting Threats, Vulnerabilities and Risks and wanting to help the Cyber team detect suspicious incidents across the business, this could be the perfect job for you.

As part of a small team, this Patching Engineer will be relatively stand-alone. Therefore, you’ll need approx. 1 year’s plus minimum Patching experience to qualify for an interview.

To apply for this role, you will need to be able to show & demonstrate your Patching ability and be able to talk confidently about dealing with Threats, Vulnerabilities & Risks within your previous working experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Monitor systems to ensure all patching is completed successfully and track patch management metrics, producing regular reports on compliance and effectiveness.
Identify and deploy critical security patches across all networked devices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and Institute policies
Follow strict compliance measure with regulations & policies.
Work closely with the Network Security manager to help identify suspicious incidents across the network.
Utilise JAMF & Intune and troubleshooting issues that arise.
Monitor systems to ensure all patching is completed successfully and track patch management metrics, producing reports on compliance & effectiveness.
Ensure security patches are tested & applied to all affected servers.
Troubleshoot issues with the patching process, including installation failures.
Keeping up to date with new features to provide support & awareness to colleagues.
Keys Skills:
- Essential to have experience of working with Patch Management, Reporting, Agent Procedures & Policy Management. (This is essential so only candidates with this experience will qualify for interview)
- Up to date experience of IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft & Apple patching schedules & methods.
- Have worked in a Mac & Windows environment.
- Must be able to work in the We-Work offices at Angel station one or two days per week and home working the rest. (4-6 per month on site ‘flex’)
- if Junior level, some understanding or demonstrable interest in any of the above. 1 years + commercial experience and Must be able to demonstrate interest and up to date knowledge of latest Cyber & Infosec trends.
