About Us
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charity that provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service. Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards need a dedicated, professional, and talented team behind them.
The All-weather Lifeboat Centre is the RNLI’s in-house boat building facility located in Poole, which brings every stage of the lifeboat build, repair and refit under one roof.

About the role
As a Parts Flow Operator, you will be physically moving a wide variety of parts to ensure all materials are available at the right time and place to enable the fitout, refit and repair on all classes of Lifeboat. Working in conjunction with other members of the ALC team, you will ensure that tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.
You will have the ability to work independently prioritising tasks meeting production requirements. The ability to plan and manage your daily workload and a keen eye for attention to detail are also key.
The ALC offers a clean, organised and safe work environment, with all tools, materials and PPE provided to enable you to undertake this work.
Management of hazardous waste materials and direct communication with our waste supplier is required on a regular basis.
About you
Experience of parts control using an MRP/ERP application in an engineering-based environment would be essential.
Ability to drive/operate conveyance vehicles (including forklift trucks) is desirable.
It is desirable that you have relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 2 qualifications in parts control/work flow or equivalent experience.
