Job Description
We are the internal recruitment partner for The Peterborough School, a well-established and highly successful Independent Day School situated in a beautiful setting close to the city centre.
We are presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Part-Time Nursery Assistant, to join the “Outstanding” Nursery, working 30 hours per week across Monday – Friday.
As the Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a caring and supportive environment for the children whilst assisting the Nursery Practitioners with their daily duties.
You will thrive at creating a fun, stimulating and safe environment for the children in the Nursery, setting up and tidying away planned activities. You will work closely with a dedicated and talented team, happy and friendly children, and supportive parents in a beautiful setting.

Requirements
- Experience of working with children.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Maintain and complete records and documentation accurately.
- Excellent ability to use childcare knowledge to develop children’s skills.
- A genuine motivation to work with children and young people and promote their safety and wellbeing.
- Positive attitude to use of authority and maintaining discipline.
- Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children, parents, and team members.

- A competitive salary of £15,075 – £16,950 dependent on skills knowledge and experience.
