Part Qualified Commercial Accountant

Are you looking for a commercial finance role away from traditional accounting? We are recruiting for a long established trading and export company in the Hull area seeking a part qualified studying accountant looking for something a bit different.

THE ROLE
– Not for a number cruncher or someone looking for a financial accounting role, this position focuses on the commercial, operational and trading involvement in the business
– The content will include payment mechanisms, dealings with banks and forex, credit and insurances and help customers plan their cash flows/financing to ensure a smooth business process
– The position will offer in depth involvement in the commercial running of an established export and trading operation, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to put into practice sound accounting skills into commercial finance
– Full training in all aspects of the position will be provided in house

THE CANDIDATE
– The successful candidate will be a CIMA/ACCA studying accountant although those candidates who are AAT qualified with the relevant skills and looking to study further will be considered. The role could also suit a graduate whose degree offered a year of accounting experience in industry.
– Preferably you will have already gained good general accounting skills in a commercial/industry background while previous experience of shipping/distribution/export would be desirable
– A high standard of systems literacy will be required, particularly with Excel, combined with having strong analytical, monitoring and reporting skills
– An effective communicator at all levels, you have the ability to converse easily and form good working relationships at all levels with colleagues and customers alike

THE COMPANY
– Our client’s business interests involve export, import and trading. They are located within an easy commute of the Hull and East Yorkshire area, the Humber Bridge and A63 and eastern end of the M62 motorway.

THE BENEFITS:
– £27,000 – £30,000 + study assistance to finish qualification
