Paraplanning Supervisor

Salary: £38,400 – £48,000 per year

My client is an Investment Management & Financial Planning firm, based in Sheffield aiming to provide effective investment management and financial planning on behalf of clients and in line with clients objectives and aspirations. The team have managed investments on a discretionary basis since 1994 and have provided comprehensive financial advice for 25 years.

We urgently are seeking a Paraplanning supervisor who will be involved in day to day report writing and administrative duties to ensure that clients are confident, capable and informed about their investment and financial choices, including compliant advice and processing in all areas. You will alos act as the Supervisor of the current Paraplanning team, including supervision and workflow planning for the department.

Specific responsibilities will include:

* Supervision and day to day management of the paraplanning team. Dealing with staff issues and developing procedures which roll out through the team and link in to other areas of the business.

* Deputise for the Operations Manager when not available.

* Control the new business register and lead weekly sales meetings

* Manage the Report Writing Process on an ongoing basis and implement it in a uniform way across all clients.

* Produce recommendation reports as and when required in line with current regulations in a timely fashion.

* Generate illustrations and supporting documents, preparation of application forms/paperwork for clients

* Liaise with providers to obtain information on client’s existing plans including charges, fund performance, guarantees/safeguarded benefits

* Cash flow modelling

* Processing new business properly and taking ownership for seeing it through to completion.

* Monitor and chase new business/transfers/withdrawals

* Undertake research/due diligence on recommended provides and policies via Synaptics

* Assist with File checks

* Assist the management team with financial promotions and other compliance matters

* Responsible for electronic/hard copy marketing mail merges and campaigns

* Have excellent client relationship skills.

* Client data is held securely and Data Protection considerations are complied with.

* Compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to health and safety requirements, proceeds of crime act, TCF, whistleblowing and vulnerable clients policies.

We are ideally seeking an experienced Diploma Level 4 qualified Paraplanner, or someone with ample experience and very close to qualification, with around 3-4 years experience specifically within Paraplanning, it would be to your advantage if you have managed or supervised Paraplanning teams previously. You will have excellent knowledge of Pensions, Investments and products within the Financial Advice sector, coupled with knowledge of the various systems used within Paraplanning.
