Our wonderful site in Chertsey houses three specialist buildings, each with great facilities and services. These include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation. We also offer many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more!

We are now looking for a Paediatric Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join us on a part-time basis, working 26 hours per week for a 42/week per annum contract.

The Role

As a Paediatric Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will support the provision and delivery of a specialist therapy service to babies and children aged 0-5 with Cerebral Palsy and similar neuro-developmental conditions.

Undertaking skilled and specific therapy programmes, you will provide a child centred, family focused approach to enable them to reach their full potential and actively participate in their everyday activities.

You will also assist with specialist equipment set up and use and, in conjunction with therapists, organise and run clinics and groups.

Additionally, you will:

– Manage the therapy assistant team, students and volunteers
– Manage the White Lodge equipment library
– Undertake related administrative duties

Please note, due to our open and collaborative working environment and the nature of our work with children and adults with disabilities, all our office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.

About You

To be considered as a Paediatric Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will need:

– Experience working with children with physical disabilities
– Basic knowledge of typical child development
– The emotional capability to be able to cope with potentially distressing situations
– A good level of IT literacy
– A full, valid driving licence

All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known if you are on the DBS update service.

All therapy staff require occupational health assessment.
