Packer

Salary: £26,400 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our reputable clients within food manufacturing who are looking for a packer who ideally has a counterbalance licence however would consider someone who has had in house training. You will be preparing the finished products via packing machines, making ready for delivery and loading the lorries. Training will be provided.

Start: ASAP
Location: Outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Salary: £26,400per annum
Duration: Permanent
Overtime: Available

Please be aware that this factory produces products with wheat & flour

Duties will include:

– Operating auto weigher to bag finished goods as per works order
– Carrying out metal detection checks prior to sealing and after
– Operating sealing and wrapping machinery
– Loading lorries with pallets of products
– Complete any associated paperwork
– Adhering to health & safety at all times
– Keeping working area clean any tidy
– Assisting in other departments when required

Key skills and attributes required:

– Counterbalance forklift licence or training is essential
– Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
– A team player, with an individual sense of ownership
– Excellent communication & organisational skills
– Health & safety aware
