Packaging Technologist

Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year

My client is a worldwide market leader in frozen foods, and due to growth within the business, we are looking to recruit a part-time Packaging Technologist.

You will be supporting the Packaging Development Manager to deliver the best packaging solutions that ensure all stakeholders and customers’ needs and expectations are exceeded.

You will be assisting with the end-to-end packaging process and ensure that all packaging is developed to policy, process, is fit for purpose from a technical, product, and graphical viewpoint, is cost-effective and to the quality expected of the customer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Maintain packaging specifications folder, including BRC certifications and substrate specifications.
Present packaging to shift managers demonstrating new pack sizes and compiling sign-off sheets.
Filing certificates of conformity for customer audits, including chasing missing reports as requested or archiving for future use.
Potential to assist the cost accountant with packaging costs in the absence of the Packaging Development Manager
Mockup and collate customer samples as and when requested by NPD or Packaging Development Manager.

This position is part-time up to 22.50 hours per week Monday – Friday.
