Outbound Warehouse Manager

A dynamic, ambitious, well balanced individual is required for the role of Outbound Warehouse Manager. Working for a global company based in their Birmingham Regional Distribution Centre.
Our Client is a leading firm in its field supplying nationally from its base in Birmingham – they now require an outbound manager to join their accomplished and profitable operation. Reporting to and working closely alongside the operations manager.
The successful applicant will be responsible for 30 outbound warehouse team via 4 direct reports. You will be overseeing warehouse management with an overall responsibility for all activity. Fully responsible for overall management of the daily workload across all departments to ensure that optimum productivity is achieved. Working closely with the operations manager to ensure that all variable costs are controlled, ensuring overall costs of Outbound activities as described in the budget template fall within targeted costs through the implementation of robust control mechanisms. Ensure all aspects of customer care are maintained to achieve customer satisfaction. Monitor productivity performance and agreed KPIs
Ensure that Inbound and Outbound departments meet all H&S requirements and Direct Reports are aware of their responsibilities. Monitor compliance to standard operating procedures.

Outbound Manager Competencies are ideally as follows:

Working knowledge of 5s, Lean or Six Sigma would be advantageous. A
forward thinking well balanced professional with the ability to motivate, lead and manage a team. The ability to analyse a problem from different viewpoints and ensure a thorough conclusion. A customer focused individual with a real ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written. A competent user of IT systems is essential with a good working knowledge of MS applications. Previous experience of data analysis and development of KPI reporting. Working closely with the operations manager planning, organizing and managing change are all attributes that are necessary for this role.
