Order Pickers / Warehouse Operatives

Our client is an award winning Logistics Services team based in Brackmills, Northampton. Our client operate an incredibly fast, efficient operation with around 600 colleagues all pulling together to make it run like clockwork to keep Asda George stores up and running. This is some task as you can imagine, it’s hard to imagine an operation that’s as fast-paced, focused or as full of great development opportunities as our clients.

We are recruiting for experienced order pickers / warehouse operatives to join this high performing logistics team.

Warehouse operative roles provide a great opportunity for the right applicants to work in a busy environment where speed of response and accuracy is essential to the effective and efficient productivity of the business. Proven experience of working in a high volume, fast paced warehouse environment will be highly advantageous, though not essential. Due to the location of our client transport would be advantageous.

Willingness to undertake training is essential as successful candidates will be expected to undertake a 3days long induction / training programme prior to starting. There is also a chance to become a full time Asda colleague

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operative roles involve working on a high speed production line to ensure line efficiency and quality standards are maintained.

Picking goods using a state of the art voice recognition headset.2.Stacking produce.

3.Achieve targets.

4.Product assembly.

5.Recognise and report faults to the appropriate source within a timely manner.

6.Ensure you undertake your role safely and adhere to all site controls and safe working practices.

Personal Attributes:

As a successful Warehouse Operative you will need to be comfortable working in fast paced and performance focused envirment. In addition, strong numeracy / literacy skills are essential.

Attention to detail
Ability to record work.
An ability to work effectively, meet targets whilst working in a fast paced environment.
A good knowledge of the English language with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in a warehouse environment.Shift Pattern:

Positions are full time, on a temporary on-going basis, covering two shifts:

6am – 2pm
10am- 6pm
2pm – 10pm
With the opportunity for overtime when required by site.
Flexibility is essential as the centre operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and shifts may exceed 8 hours in response to business demands.Pay:
