Operator / Labourer – Neath

We are currently seeking a number of Operators/Labourers for our client based in Neath.
Shifts include working a rotating shift pattern, days and nights. Ongoing temporary assignments.

Main Purpose of the Job

To work as part of a team to operate, set and maintain manufacturing plant and equipment whilst delivering the required quality standards on a shift by shift basis, in line with company procedures.

Duties to include:

* Follow established procedures and guidelines to manufacture the organisation’s products according to production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.
* Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
* Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
* Maintain effective communication within the operations team and to external functions.
* Maintain facility cleanliness and housekeeping in line with company standards.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Other Activities

* Ensure health and safety compliance in line with the Company’s safe working procedures
* Operating of power and hand tools if required
* Accurately use a tape measure

The person:

The candidate should have previous experience within a manufacturing or construction background. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and an understanding of health & safety requirement’s

Positions are ongoing, long term temporary to start immediately.
Salary:
Days – Salary: £26,000per year
Nights – Salary: £26,000per year
Following a successful 12 week period you will also receive a weekly/monthly bonus.

Free on site parking and overtime available.
