Hours: 37.5hrs Mon-Fri (flexible working hours required)

Key Responsibilities
Prescription receipt, accurate and timely entry on PMR (entry on PMR and order creation within 30 minutes)
Accurate dispensing – this will include timely reporting of near misses and dispensing errors (immediate reporting of dispensing errors to RP or operations manager)
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Adhered to standard operating procedures and follow instructions from the RP, duty pharmacist or operations manager
Safe and clean working environment of the pharmacy
Appropriate storage of all pharmacy products
Appropriate shelf life of medication
Reporting service issues using appropriate form
Limits of communications with patients – advice on delivery, taking of ancillary orders and arrange clinical waste collection but not of the following:
Clinical advice, advice about medication, usage of medication, administration of medication, storage of medication, dosage of medication, prescription information, appropriateness of medication
No direct communications with hospitals except for original prescription chasing

Route planning
Compounded PN receipt on PMR and order processing
Patient stock take for any treatment
Requirements
Qualifications
The person should have completed or seeking to complete an approved dispensary assistants course NVQ2 or 3. Full training will be provided.
Good/sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, mainly Excel, Outlook and WordExperience
Experience of working in a pharmacy would benefit the candidate
Office skills are essential
