Ocean Freight Export Clerk

My Client is an extremely well established freight forwarder based in Colnbrook, and are looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Export Clerk to join their team.

Duties of an Ocean Freight Export Clerk include:
* Quotations
* Taking bookings
* Arranging collections with the transport department/Hauliers
* creating files both manually and on the computer system
* Negotiating rates with shipping companies
* Preparing export documentation i.e. Bills of landing
* Charging files.

* Minimum of 18 months experience
* Understanding of import procedures
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
* Good PC and financial abilities
* Attention to detail is paramount
* IT generalist knowledge – windows, word, excel

Knowledge of Data Freight Systems would be a distinct advantage, however training will be given to the right person.
