Project Overview
* Position: Occupational Health Physician * Location: Thurso, Caithness, Scotland * Length: 12 months + * Hours: 37.92 per week * Rate: £24 – £48 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Objective
Occupational Health Physician required for OHD Department

Deliverables
* Work Collaboratively with the existing OHD Team * Provide health surveillance with regard to the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 * Provide health surveillance with regard to Noise, Vibration, COSHH, and Asbestos * Apply clinical skills to cases requiring physician input * Advise on sickness absence management, management referrals and ill health retirement * provide medical review officer support for the substance misuse process * Delivery of CPD sessions for OH Team * Participation in emergency preparedness exercises and training sessions * Attendance at training required to ensure suitable qualified and experienced for site OH needs * Attendance at one nuclear OH or OH forum/conference per year

Essential/Desirable Skills
* Appointed under the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 * Appointed under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2012 * Previous experience in the nuclear industry * Preferably diploma of occupational health
