Nursery Nurse Early Years Practitioner

Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

We are currently have a great opportunity to join a Private Nursery setting in Brixton, with 60+ capacity. This is a full time posiiotn working 40 hours a week caring for and teaching children aged 3months to 5 years old.

If you are an experienced Nursery Nurse or at the start of your career, this setting will always provide you with the opportunity to progress in your career and gain more experience.

Nursery Nurse Role:

* Provide high quality care and education while promoting health and wellbeing

* Help children achieve the best possible start in life

* To ensure learning is linked to the child’s development

* To be able to plan for age appropriate activities

* To be able to communicate with Parents/Carers and other external professionals

Nursery Nurse Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification or higher in childcare education
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
• The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
• Acting as Key-worker and to observe
• A working knowledge of the Children’s Act.
• Experience working with toddlers or pre school
• Good communication skills both with children and parents
• Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
