Salary: £26,000 per year

About Kangacrew:

At Kangacrew we work with Day Nurseries and Pre-Schools, placing candidates in temporary and permanent positions. We are currently recruiting for Qualified or Unqualified Nursery Assistants and Nursery Practitioners.

It is expected that Qualified or Unqualified Nursery Practitioners will fulfil the performance requirements of this role. However, as Relief staff we acknowledge you may not be required to carry out all areas of the role. It is imperative that you and the Nursery Management Team of the individual nurseries review the responsibilities within this Role Guide to prioritise tasks in line with Nursery requirements and hours of employment. This should form part of the recruitment and induction process and be reviewed regularly.

Purpose of the role:

To identify and follow the best practice within the nursery, making sure it is maintained and safe for the children.
To ensure each individual child within the room is happy and stimulated with appropriate activities.
To provide incredible service to each child, so they are happy, creating a trusting and friendly atmosphere within your setting.
To have an understanding and where qualified have the ability to put into practice Safeguarding policies and procedures for every child.
To ensure that each child is treated as an individual and that their development needs are met on an ongoing basis through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
To ensure every child, family and colleague matters by implementing Inclusive Practice and working in partnership.
