IBMS Recruitment are currently seeking a candidate to take on a Disability Assessor role within a fantastic growing company in the Haverhill, Suffolk area.

As part of the Government’s welfare reform agenda, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have introduced a new benefit called the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Replacing the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), PIP is designed to better reflect today’s understanding of disability and is focused on helping with the extra costs disabled people face to lead independent lives.

The initial training is highly supportive and will help you develop news skills to undertake this exciting role.

You will use your specialist clinical knowledge to assess each individual claimant, and establish how any health conditions may be impacting upon their day-to-day living. You will then collate your findings with any evidence provided from GPs and any other specialists, to reach an outcome on a case-by-case basis. Full training is provided.

This is a full time role with a salary of £33,600 (+ bonus structure) once training is completed.

To apply for this role, you will need:

• 2 years UK based experience as a Nurse (RGN/RMN), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Doctor
• Valid NMC / HCPC / GMC registration
• A positive, empathetic and professional manner
• Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
• IT skills
• Ability to work under pressure, and be flexible and adaptable in your approach
