NPD Technologist

Our Client is seeking a professional, results orientated, NPD technologist with excellent commercial acumen.

The successful candidate must possess exceptional organisation and communication skills and be able to confidently liaise both internally and externally at all levels. Process development experience is essential and the successful candidate must be able to report accurately with excellent attention to detail skills.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Assisting with the implementation of all products ensuring consistency of practice throughout against agreed standard procedures.

2. Developing new products as defined in customer briefs ensuring that the new product ideas are commercially viable and meet all current legislation.

3. Maintaining and developing technical awareness and knowledge of all products and ensuring that the focus is on customer and consumer needs.

4. Monitoring market trends.

5. Understanding the financial aspect related to product development.

6. Sourcing new raw materials and suggesting cost saving opportunities where necessary.

7. Liaising with various departments including the Processing and Planning Team, the Development Manager and assisting with site visits and presentations as and when necessary.

8. Adhering to all standards for compliance and quality at all times.
