Night – Ward Housekeeper

We are currently recruiting for 1 part time ward housekeepers to work on a local NHS Trust in Wakefield.

Hours of work: Saturday & Sunday – 20:00 to 06:00 (8pm – 6am)

Salary: £26,000per year (Saturday Night) & £26,000 per year (Sunday Night)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Temporary on-going

Job Purpose:

To provide an efficient and comprehensive housekeeping service to all patients, visitors and staff while contributing to enhancement of patient care.

The Housekeeping service plays a vital role and is included as part of the ward/department team to ensure that a pleasant, safe, welcoming and clean environment is provided to patients, visitors and staff.

Duties:

Taking menu orders directly from patients.
Taking delivery of food trolleys.
The serving of food trays directly to the patient.
Refresh and distribute water jugs to patients, as required.
Prepare and distribute hot and cold drinks to patients, as required.
Handling of dirty/infected linen and removal to central uplift point.
