Salary: £26,000per year

Hours: 7.00pm until 7.00am, following a rota of 3 days on / 3 days off

Applications are invited for the position of Night Security Officer – working from 7.00pm until 7.00am, on rota basis of 3 nights on and 3 off.

About the job

Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

·Maintain high security levels and security procedures at all times;

·Maintain a discrete but effective security presence in all areas at all times;

·Undertake highly effective patrols in accordance with management instructions and in awareness of current threat situations;

·effective handling with all enquiries/concerns;

·Communicate clearly and articulately with all levels of on-site personnel at all times;

·Responsible for delivering a full and detailed handover;

·Proficient use of relevant communications equipment will require candidate to have flawless communication skills;

·Ensure all H&S policies are adhered to;

·Process stationery orders and facilities related duties;

·Working at different sites may be required at times.

In addition

·From time to time you may be required to provide coverage for the day shift operations, providing a warm efficient meeting and greeting to visitors; and

·Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required.

The Night Security Officer, will:

·Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the security industry, with experience working in a highly customer-focussed front of house corporate security environment;

·Have good knowledge of various security systems;

·Be conflict-management aware;

·Be smart, well groomed, confident and articulate;

·Have good communication skills – orally and in writing;

·Have good interpersonal skills, and a good telephone manner;

·Be self-motivated, punctual and reliable, with excellent time-management skills;

·Basic IT literacy.

·First Aid training would be an advantage;

Essential experience:

·Valid current SIA licence;

·Full driving licence;

·Previous security experience;

·Excellent customer service skills;

·Strong communication skills.

Desirable Experience

·Served in the Armed Forces.

·You must be able to pass a Government Security Vetting Screening (SC) a condition of which is that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years;
