Night HGV1 Delivery Driver – Essex – £15.86 – £14.93 p/h – VR/14773

Our client is looking for a keen, enthusiastic and motivated Night Delivery Driver with a checkable work history to carry out work in the Chelmsford area.

The Night Delivery Driver will be required to do own loading of 33 pallets with frozen, chilled and bulk, as well as unloading at the store using electric pallet trucks.

The Night Delivery Driver must have a full LGV 1 CE Class 1 license with a digital tachograph card and knowledge of local and regional routes. CPC would be preferred however full training will be given.

The position of Night Delivery Driver is a full time permanent contract with a guaranteed 40 hours a week with the chance of overtime (daily requirement of 10/13 hours). It has a fixed rota with 5 days on and 3 days off, with regular store routes of two outbound shipments daily.

Shifts will start at 16.00 with daily requirement of up to 12 hours. Salary is dependent on timings and length of service but will start at 13.22 p/h.

Nights are £15.86 p/h for the first year then £14.93. Post 12 week contract is 40 hours a week but expectation is longer since the job cannot be done, as 2 trips out and no back loads (return of empty pallets) unless average is 60 hours weekly.
