National Head of Project & Development Services – Public Sector

Salary: £72,000 – £78,000 per year

My client is a global leader in the commercial real estate industry. They are seeking an inspiring and experienced candidate for the role of Head of Project and Development Services. The division comprising Building Surveyors, Project Managers, Cost Consultants, Principal Designers and MEP Consulting Engineers, located across the UK and Ireland’s office network.

Key aspects of the role being responsible for increasing profitability and growth nationally. You must work closely with the wider Public Sectors initiatives, Skills lines heads and where appropriate UK divisional heads to position a sustainable and progressive Public Sector offering and developing Public Sector key client relationships across the UK.

Duties include:

Define and execute the strategy and business plan through managing and representing your team in the market.
Be able to surpass personal revenue and profit targets.
Managing the office and sub regional business.
Lead the day to day activities of the office and promote business externally.
Identify opportunities for business growth and development.
Maximising profitable revenue.
Develop and implement business development and client priority plans.
Assist in the development of business plan objectives.
Spokesperson for clients, local general commentary, staff recruitment, promotion, budget comments etc.
Establish and build strong networks externally and internally.
Undertake team meetings, business reviews and billing targets.
Identify markets, actions and business opportunities needed to achieve revenue and profit targets.
Manage budgets and potential fee pipeline.
Establish and maintain standards and procedures.
Staff Development, leading and motivate team and be a role model for others.Qualifications

Degree level qualification
Preferably Chartered Surveyor or equivalent postgraduate business degree (e.g. MBA) depending on team specialism
From a Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Building Surveying or Facilities background.Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Delivery experience across a variety of Sector areas within a the Public Sector, including Government, Education, Health and Emergency Services sectors
Public Sector procurement, securing and leading national Public Sector frameworks
Able to develop and maintain senior client relationships
Experience of delivering national portfolio surveys utilising technology solutions
Strong team and people management experience
Proven business development and be able to demonstrate understanding of client needs
Strong market and local knowledge
