MySQL DBA – Brighton – £45k+

A leading marketing company in central Brighton are looking to bring in a MySQL DBA to work on a leading SAAS application. The role is part of the Operations Group and is central to making sure the production MySQL estate is running to desired performance and availability standards.

As the MySQL DBA, you will be working on an enterprise application team, with an opportunity to implement cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic product team.

As the Database Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
● Optimizing availability and performance of the databases.
● Ensure appropriate hardware and software assets exist, maintaining excellent configuration records.
● Ownership of maintenance plans, scheduled jobs, tracking success/failure and performing root cause analysis to drive out repeat failures.
● Manage incidents assigned for DBA investigation/resolution, troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL and MySQL based applications.

And you should ideally have:
● Expert knowledge in MySQL (5.0+)
● Understanding of Percona is a plus
● Exposure to linux system administration
● Version control knowledge (git)
● Amazon AWS
