Music Royalties Assistant – West End Accountancy Firm

Are you a confident individual with excellent communication skills and a mathematical brain who has a strong interest in music? Would you like to interact and liaise with extremely high profile artists, record labels and publishing companies on a day to day basis while kick-starting your career in accountancy?

Our client, an extremely commercial firm of chartered accountants, is currently seeking a Royalties Assistant to join their highly regarded and successful music team due to strong organic growth.

You will be expected to provide support to a client base with a strong focus on music, with 70% of the workload setting up new record labels and publishing companies for royalties accounting. This will entail understanding the legal agreements put in place and then providing quarterly or six monthly royalty statements to either the companies or the artists. In addition, 30% of the work will derive from undertaking audits of royalty agreements. This will be carried out on behalf of an artist and involve regular visits to record labels to examine their accounts to ensure the correct level of payments have been made.

As a prospective candidate you should:
-Have a mathematical brain with a good academic record
-Have a strong interest in the music industry
-Be excellent inter-personally with a proactive and confident manner
-Work experience in a music related environment preferable
