Music Merchandising Assistant
6 Months
19.03/Hr

We are looking for a real self-starter to work on a music merchandising programme, based on handsets, web and tablets, for a major IT corporation. Somebody who is confident that their ideas could be valuable on a global scale is essential here as you will be working with perhaps the most well known brand and name of our generation.

Based on your experience in digital content, you will coordinate and launch effective online features and promotions. You bring strong sharp analytical abilities, retail instincts and impeccable oral and written communication skills. You possess a high degree of comfort and flexibility when working cross-functionally with product, design, marketing, engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to develop new content features and scalable merchandising processes. You bring a proven ability to prioritize, meet critical deadlines, and take on challenging tasks with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities
* Maintain music merchandising calendar for EMEA
* Data entry for monitoring campaign performance
* Contribute to the improvement of back catalogue selection and metadata quality
* Create and commission playlists, working with freelancers to create localised content
* Coordinate with internal and external partnerships teams to develop and launch effective store content and promotions
* Identify and drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities with internal and external partners
* Conduct metrics-based analyses of merchandising campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness
* Support partner and technical teams to troubleshoot customer-facing issues
* Manage pricing for campaigns and offers
* Work with Engineering to ensure all titles in programming plans are ordered and ingested.
* Participate in regular meetings with content partners, in order to identify promotional opportunities
* Maintain excellent partner metadata, curation and hygiene
* Contribute to a global merchandising team and its efforts to drive site improvements and innovative features on behalf of users worldwide

Minimum Requirements

* Experience in an editorial/merchandising role for a mobile or online digital content business
* Deep knowledge and understanding of the music industry
* Strong editorial and creative skills ability to craft messaging and work with design and production resources to drive creative execution
* Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze research or performance data and apply that analysis to optimize merchandising strategy
* Experience working with both external and internal partners on co-promotion or cross-promotion strategies and campaigns
* Knowledge of and experience with online best practices; ability to advise on strategies and product requirements to enhance platform-level merchandising capabilities.
* High attention to detail, ability to maintain several different projects simultaneously, while creating precise and effective customer-facing communications

Preferred Qualifications
* One European language, other than English.
* Experience working in a merchandising role for a retail website or music streaming service
