As one of the site’s Multi-skilled Engineers, you’ll report to the Engineering supervisor and will be primarily responsible for overseeing all machinery on site, ensuring that production downtime is at a minimum.
Specific tasks include:
– Completing all scheduled planned maintenance on site
– Reactively attending machine breakdowns
– Improvement projects on machinery
You will be working in a large engineering team and will be given additional training to ensure that you have the best understanding of how each machine operates.
To be considered for the Engineering role you will need to possess direct experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
We also need you to have prior experience working on reactive breakdowns, with experience in electrical fault finding.
It’s also essential that you’ve got experience in completing planned preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard.
Additionally, it’s crucial that you are an apprenticeship-served engineer. A minimum qualification of ONC/NVQ lv 3 in an engineering discipline is required.
And it’s vital that you also possess an understanding of the principles and practices of food safety and maintenance within a food-manufacturing environment.
The basic salary is £52,200per annum. There is the opportunity of Overtime which is paid at a premium if this is something you would be interested in.
