Location: Brighton

Salary: £26,000per year + overtime

Overview:

A multi-drop van driver is required for a food distributor based in Brighton. The role will include delivering chilled and frozen foods in a timely manner and in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Check that your temperature controlled vehicle is clean at the start and at the end of each shift; this includes food storage areas, the exterior and the cab.
– Check that your temperature controlled vehicle is legally compliant at the start and end of each shift.
– Check the load correctly against the check sheets; report any shortages to the warehouse staff so that they can correct any shortages/overstocks.
– Load the temperature controlled vehicle carefully causing no damage to the products and without compromising the safety of the product, the vehicle must be loaded within 15 minutes.
– Ensure that each customer’s delivery is correct and that all documentation is correctly signed and dated.
– Ensure that you are familiar with all company products and are able to speak confidently, to a greater or lesser extent, about all products sold by the company.
– Communicate clearly and openly with all staff in all departments when necessary in order to facilitate the smooth functioning of your job and that of every other employee/director within the company.

Skills and Qualifications:

– Full UK Driving License.
– Strong communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
– Strict time management.
– Meet the physical requirements of the role.
