We have an opportunity for a Multi-Agency Advance Practitioner to join our Victims and Safeguarding department.

In this role you will be attending multi-agency safeguarding meetings discussing safety planning, safeguarding investigations and multi-agency approaches to reduce risk and vulnerability.

You will be working closely with operational staff within the victims and safeguarding hubs, alongside sharing information with key stakeholders.

 In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Attending multi-agency strategy meetings to ensure appropriate actions are undertaken and measures are in place to safeguard vulnerable people
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver best practice and support problem solving
  • Ensuring multi-agency safeguarding strategies and recording information is carried out in line with relevant legislation and force policy
  • Contributing to relevant strategic reports and reviews as appropriate maintaining quality assurance within the unit.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Safeguarding and Victim Care legislation and working with multi-agency partners for the safeguarding management of vulnerable people
  • Experience of completing complex risk assessments and applying risk management strategies
  • Experience of chairing and participating in multi-agency meetings and gathering accurate information to produce written documentation
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and partner agencies both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively prioritise your own workload and achieve deadlines

The role

  • This role is 25 hours per week across set days of Mondays 08:00am-17:00pm, Tuesday 08:00am-16:30pm and Wednesday 08:00am-17:00pm.
  • Based in the Northern LSU, This role is primarily based in Ashmead Road Keynsham Police Centre. However there is also business need to attend Badminton Road, Yate and Bristol Bridewell Police Station during your working week.
  • Blended working approach – whilst there is a need to attend specific Police and Council locations you will have the flexibility to work from home for a proportion of the week.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
