We are actively recruiting for a mobile mill operative in the Pocklington area the successful candidate would be working as part of a small team that covers large areas of the North of England and you would be providing an on site milling operation to produce animal feed on site at farms from the produce that the farmers have grown. You would need a strong agricultural background and have a good IT understanding as you would be expected to programme the mill, which is completely computerised, also tractor/FLT driving experience would be beneficial although not essential for this role.

The Company – A well-established family run business in the Pocklington area offering mobile animal feeds for on farm service across the North of England.

Role:

Occasional driving of the feed wagons
Assist in the production of the animal feed
Programming of the mill on site managing all the correct levels that go into the feed
Interacting with clients as you would be working on site
Occasionally required to stay over on site for work purposes
Complete any relevant paperwork for Health & Safety Legislation
Follow all HACCP procedures on site
Work as part of a small existing teamRequirements:

Full Clean Driving License
Agricultural engineering background
IT Skills
Must have a hands-on approach to work
Previous experience working in an agricultural backgroundBenefits – The successful candidate will be joining a small team and be paid £26,000 per year for a basic 40hr week working Monday – Friday although they would have to commit to 50hrs a week where the first two hours of each day will be paid at x1.25 overtime rate, there is also a 30minute unpaid lunch break.
