The Company:

My client is one of the largest independent providers of property maintenance services in the UK, providing both Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance to thousands of clients across tens of thousands of locations around the UK. They provide, Mechanical & Electrical, Fabric, Air conditioning and Combustion, maintenance and installations to commercial & retail environments. They are national specialists in planned and responsive maintenance and all of there services are based on `self delivery`, which means that they employ only the best, fully qualified in-house technicians and engineers to maintain quality standards.

Maintenance Electrician

Due to sustained period of growth, we are recruiting for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our busy team working on a large commercial estate in Berkshire.

Reporting into the Contract Manager the role will be to carry out assigned day to day delivery of planned maintenance and small works assigned to you on wide range of different types of properties and systems. Many of the buildings although on the same estate are not in comfortable walking distance and as such you will be provided with a fully expensed company vehicle to travel around the estate and to and from work. This is not a mobile role that will require travel across any other areas outside the estate. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm although there are opportunities for overtime should you wish.

Essential skills:

• Experience commercial, industrial and domestic installation and maintenance.
• Good communications skills written and verbal

• Open to dealing with other forms of work such as small installations
• Capable of working on own initiative and without supervision
• Able to adapt to quickly changing environments and client’s requirements
• Working under pressure
• Excellent organisational skills / Time management /Ability to prioritise and organise own workload/ able to work to deadlines
• Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements

Essential Qualifications must be held:

• 18th Edition
• NVQ or C&G Level 2 in Electrical Installation

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Working in commercial or property maintenance
• Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
