Salary: £13.6 per hour
Production Welder required for ongoing work within the Rainford (ST. Helens) area.
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 9pm – 7am.
As a production welder, the use of metal insert gas (MIG) and tungsten inset gas (TIG) welding equipment is a requirement to manufacture parts and assemble both freehand and using jigs, fixtures to defined production schedules.
The majority of components are manufactured using mild Steel, Zintec and Stainless Steel with the thickness ranging from 1.5mm 3mm. The ability to weld Aluminium would be an advantage although not a requirement.
Candidates will need to be able to read from drawings and be able to produce quality welds whilst working to deadlines and targets with the minimum of supervision.
The ideal candidates will have;
– An ability to work to high standards with a good run rate.
– Proven background in production welding.
– Own tools, safety boots and helmet.
The successful candidate will be required to spend the first week on day shifts to complete an induction and training.
