Microbiologist

My client is a world leader in the FMCG industry. Due to sustained growth and business expansion, there is an immediate requirement for a 12 month contract hire – ‘Microbiologist’, to join an established team at a modern manufacturing plant in Hull. Working as part of the factory leadership team, you will be the technical expert and lead on microbiological and analytical disciplines to ensure compliance. This role will also involve the management of a small laboratory including the team.

Role: Microbiologist
The strategic development of microbiological approach for the site – fast paced FMCG/Chemicals environment
Responsible for Global compliance and regulatory standards
Line management and development of staff in a laboratory environment
Support and develop the Site Quality Management System – conducting quality audits and action plans, training and educating staff, leading line audits

Requirements:
Graduate calibre, Mirobiology, Chemistry or Life Sciences Background
Knowledge of GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice
String knowledge and understanding of HACCP and FMEA
Strong auditing skills
String communication and Influencing skills as well as the ability to train and develop others and a specialist in microbiology
