Metering Manager (Energy Supplier) Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Metering Manager to join our Industry Operations team. This role involves overseeing a team responsible for managing metering queries and supporting our Smart Metering campaign. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the metering processes.

Metering Manager (Energy Supplier) Responsibilities:

  • Grow, lead and mentor a team of metering specialists professionals, fostering a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams within Industry Operations to ensure seamless integration of Metering processes with other teams, such as Billing and Settlements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve common goals.
  • Oversee meter installation & maintenance and support the implementation of the Smart Metering programme.
  • Work with 3rd party agents to ensure quality standards, support project work and new capabilities.
  • Take ownership of the metering process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Set clear performance metrics and KPIs for the metering team and regularly monitor progress.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of internal processes and workflows related to metering.
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline activities.
  • Oversee the generation of accurate and timely reports, providing insights to support decision-making.

Skills

  • Must have experience working within Metering in the energy sector.
  • Proven experience in energy, with a thorough understanding of the Gas and Electricity metering code.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including managing 3rd party relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: Leicester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education: Bachelor’s (preferred)

  • Metering: 1 year (required)
  • Customer support: 1 year (required)

Language: English (preferred)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
