Mental Health / Floating Support / Adults

Randstad Care are seeking floating support workers to work within busy support teams across Hampshire. The client forsees that they will need cover for full time hours for atleast 3 months. This then may be extended.

Our client is looking for skilled and experienced support workers to assist within their residential homes and supported living environments for people with complex needs. These may range from mental health issues, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

The role with involve assisting service users with the following:

Building self confidence
Social and emotional support
Accessing education
Getting to health appointments
Budgeting
Support with alcohol and substance misuse
Shopping
Housework
Personal CareThere will be day and night work available. Once the client gets to know you and your skill set, they may then offer you longer term employment if desired.

skills/ experience/ attributes:

Medication training
Manual Handling Training
PROACT-SCIPr Training
Car Driver
Previous experience of working with adults with complex needsWhere training is mandatory for longer term bookings, you will be requested to go on these courses. These of course will help to enhance your skill sets.

Registration involves an enhanced police disclosure at the cost of £44 (This is refunded to you after the equivalent of 13 weeks full time work), identity checks and professional references.
