Medical Typist – East Cheshire

I am looking for a Medical Typist to work in a busy typing pool within the Public Sector in the Macclesfield area, East Cheshire. This shall be a full time role working approx 37 hours per week Monday and Friday. This shall be a temporary assignment working on an ongoing basis. This roles pays £26,000 per year.

Daily duties will include
-Accurately transcribing medical correspondence by touch typing, audio typing and digital dictation.
-Liaising with internal medical staff from several departments including all medical sectors.
-Provide a first point of contact for medical quires either by letter, email or phone call.
-Ensuring that all correspondence is sent out in a timely manner to fall in line with the company deadlines.
-Complete all tasks in a sensitive and confidential manner.
-Managing your own work load and prioritise daily tasks.
-Post room duties when required to send out mail to patients.

Candidates must
-Have previous medical secretarial experience.
-Have a good understanding of medical terminology.
-Be able to audio type and touch type.
-Have excellent communication skills.
-Be open to complete a DBS check if necessary
-Be available between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Candidates may be required to complete a short medical terminology test to ensure accuracy in medical typing.

This roles pays £26,000 per year. This shall be paid on a weekly basis.
