Working within a fast paced hospital environment, essentially we are looking for an individual who is an experienced secretary with strong typing skills, ideally with audio typing skills and a typing speed of 65+wpm, and preferably with experience of working in a clinical or medical environment. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for the Consultant Psychiatrist, by way of completing inpatient related reports and documentation. The main responsibility is to type dictations from audio files, within allotted but achievable timeframes, to provide diary management and general secretarial support.

You should have an interest in working for an organisation that provides services for vulnerable individuals and the desire to be a proficient administrator. Areas of expertise must include information governance and confidentiality, an eye for detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively. Intermediate skills in Word and Outlook and are highly desirable, as is experience of working with transcription software and equipment.
