Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £48,000 per year

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer 

Salary: £40,000 p/annum + over-time 

Shifts: 4 on 4 off days and nights 

Benefits: Overtime, Bonus, Pension scheme and Training.

Location: Newark on Trent, Manufacturing 

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained engineer
• Level 3 Mechanical / Engineering qualification (NVQ/BTEC)
• Must have experience within a manufacturing environment.

Role Details: 

Reporting to the team leader as the mechanical technician you will assist with the efficient operation of the mechanical function. 

The Engineers are responsible for the repair and maintenance of all site production equipment, whilst adhering to strict health and safety and technical legislation.

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance activities
• Follow routine planned schedules, breakdowns, reactive and planned maintenance to a heavy engineering plant.
• Ability to fault find and problem solve
• Understanding of Health and Safety Procedures and legislation
• Attend breakdowns, complete regular machine maintenance performing high quality root cause analysis 
• Continuous improvement and project work 
• Machinery Installations 

Candidate:

A Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical who has the attributes of:

• Ability to work independently or part as a team
• Mechanical apprenticeship
• Mechanical experience in heavy manufacturing industry
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings 
• Uses own initiative
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels including clients.
• Flexible and self-motivated 
• Mechanical qualification
