Salary: £33,600 – £37,440 per year

Due to significant growth and a prestigious contract wins, my client a UK Leading Facilities Management and Building Services provider are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical Gas/Heating Service and Maintenance Engineers to support their prestigious contracts throughout the heart of Cumbria on a mobile basis.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager you will be supporting a prestigious contract covering large scale Commercial and Residential facilities throughout Cumbria and be responsible for:

• Providing Heating and Gas engineering support to large scale commercial and large scale residential facilities
• Complete PPM and reactive maintenance to boilers, burners, pumps and valves, gas feeds, hot water systems etc
• Diagnosing faults, repairing products, and using mechanical gas skills
• Carrying out fault finding of all gas and heating appliances
• Offering customers professional advice on gas appliances and gas installations
• Carrying out planned maintenance schedules on a day to day basis
• Ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard with completion within time
• Diagnosing issues on boilers/domestic and commercial gas appliances and emergency gas leaks
• Producing accurate administration documents and safety certificates

Engineer specification:

• Ideally have served a recognised Gas/Heating apprenticeship
• Hold current ACS Commercial and Domestic Gas certification
• Skill levels in all aspects of Gas/Heating maintenance and installation
• Excellent communication skills, telephone manner & verbal qualities
• Good problem solving skills
• Full UK Drivers Licence

Due to the nature of the role my client requires an Engineer who can take ownership of allocated jobs, liaise with the public/client and bring reactive works to a close with positive results.

The successful Engineer will have a proven track record of the above requirements (this is essential) and be able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care, good communication skills, a pro-active attitude and the capability to complete essential paperwork. Experience in anticipating and repairing faults will be required.

Basic working week is 40hrs, Mon – Fri 08.00 – 16.30 with 30mins lunch break.

This is a full time permanent opportunity to join a UK Leading Facilities Management and Building Services provider who are continually winning new contracts throughout the UK. These positions will come with a Company Van (option of personal use also), overtime, PPE and Uniform, IPAD, mobile phone etc.
