Salary/Rate – upto £18.94 – £21.41per hour + Overtime + 33 days holiday paid at 1.33 basic rate

A prestigious heavy engineering company based in Leeds, is looking to recruit a number of Mechanical Fitters / Assembly Fitters for long term contracts.

The opportunities have arisen due to an increase in work demand and are expected to last in excess of 12 months. Ideal candidates will be from the Yorkshire area or be able to commute to this area on a daily basis and have previous mechanical assembly experience within an engineering environment. These roles are paid via PAYE only.

Description

We are currently recruiting a number of Mechanical Fitters to work on a contract basis, centrally to Leeds, but with great access to the M1/M62.

These roles are open to engineers with extensive experience and knowledge of valves/pipe fitting/pumps. Suitable candidates must be able to work on a continental shift / Double Days running from Monday to Friday.

You will be required to undertake the following duties:

*Building of various hydraulic assemblies
*Using a range of valves and pumps for each assembly
*Pressure testing (not essential however highly desirable)
* Knowledge of piping, and autogenous welding (not essential however highly advantageous)

Example Shift Pattern: Continental / Double Days – Monday to Friday (call for more details)

Experience Required

*Ideally time served/apprentice trained mechanical engineers
*Experience in valve assembly / pipefitting /pumps/
